Could the smell of cut grass actually be bad for the environment?
Academics in Australia have discovered that when grass is cut it releases hydrocarbons into the atmosphere and these can make a bad smog day even worse. Could we actually be moving towards a time when we all have to check the pollution levels before mowing the lawn? Perhaps a little far fetched but nonetheless viable - and this is on top of the pollution from your lawnmower itself!
With artificial grass installed, none of these concerns arise.
