Artificial Grass Environmental Benefits

Grass clippings polluting the Mississippi River

It's claimed that lawns are polluting the mighty Mississippi River. The Center for Global Environmental Education has already warned about the toxic impact of grass clippings being flushed down storm drains - once in the river the clippings decay and release nutrients which in turn upset the delicate ecological balance that exists there. What's more, it's not just people who live directly next to the Mississippi who could be causing harm in this way - anyone living within the Mississippi watershed could pose this kind of pollution danger.

This is the kind of example where local communities in an 'endangered' area could reduce the risk of pollution from grass clippings by installing artificial grass in their gardens.
