Holker Hall attracts many visitors and not just from Britain but from all over the world. The home of Lord and Lady Cavendish, Holker Hall is not far from the Cumbrian town of Grange-over-Sands and enjoys a wonderful country setting. Most visitors come to view the gardens.
The gardens, which are immaculate, total some 25 acres and there is a natural parkland of around 200 acres. Some notable features of Holker Hall's gardens:
Spectacular Rhododendrons (Spring time)
The Great Holker Lime - with a girth of 7.9m it is one of the finest common limes in the UK.
National Collection of Styracaceae - registered with the National Collection for Conservation of Plants and Gardens.
